  Legal transfer out of your name

  As a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL), NorCal Gun Services can legally remove firearms from your home. Once collected, the firearms are transferred out of your name so you are no longer responsible for them. Because we hold an FFL, this process does not require you to handle a transfer yourself. We report the transfer to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and you receive documentation confirming that the firearms have been legally and permanently removed from your name.

  Pickup and removal from your home

  We provide discreet and professional pickup of all your unwanted firearms so you never have to worry about transporting them yourself. California has strict rules for transporting guns, and many people will unintentionally break the law them when driving guns to a police station or gun shop. By using our service, you avoid those risks completely.

  We will unload each firearm

  In our Northern California gun disposal work, we often encounter firearms that are still loaded. Trying to unload a gun you are not familiar with can be dangerous and may cause an accidental discharge. Our firearm specialist inspects every firearm, unloads it safely, and secures it for legal transport.

  Illegal or non-compliant firearms

  As part of our service, every firearm we pickup is inspected to confirm it is legal under California law. If a firearm is illegal or cannot be brought into compliance, we remove it from your property and permanently destroy it using ATF-approved methods. The destruction is fully documented, photographed, and logged with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and you will recieve proof that the firearm has been responsibly and legally disposed of.
